Ever since Guillermo del Toro’s depature from The Hobbit films, everyone has been itching to know what his next move will be. Well, last night del Toro made an appearance at the Saturn Awards, and afterwards did an interview with the folks over at Collider that will have del Toro fans jumping in their seats.
In the interview, he talked about The Hobbit situation, and also about upcoming projects he has in the works, including Hellboy 3, Frankenstein, Death: the High Cost of Living, At the Mountains of Madness and Saturn and the End of Days. The film stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz and Michael Pena, and is based on the vigilante character of the same name from the 1930s radio drama, 1940s film serials and the 1960s television series. Not sure how this big news story slipped under the radar, but it seems like hardly anyone on the web has reported this. Perhaps Star Wars fans are in denial.
Apparently, last May George Lucas attended a charity screening of The Empire Strikes Back at the Chicago Field Museum, and also took questions from the audience, according to the The ForceCast. One person in attendance asked him to give an update on the Star Wars live-action TV series. According to “the maker” himself, the series is “kind of on hold.” Read on to find out more details.
