Many questionable changes have been occurring over at Lucasfilm ever since Disney officially acquired the company this past year. Just a few weeks ago, it was announced that Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series would be winding down sooner than originally intended in the wake of concentrating on new Star Wars endeavors such as Episodes VII-IX as well as a new animated series set in an era previously unexplored in TV or film. After all of this, as well as the even more recent news of LucasArts shutting down to move to a licensing model for future Star Wars games, fans are definitely worrying about whether or not the recent Disney acquisition was really a good idea in the first place.
To perhaps shed a bit of positive light on the recent changes, The Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni (pictured above, next to yours truly) recently gave an interview with RebelForce Radio‘s Jason Swank and Jimmy Mac about the recent decision to cancel The Clone Wars, and the future of Filoni’s career with Lucasfilm. As it turns out, Filoni revealed that he is currently involved with developing the new Star Wars animated series mentioned above! Hit the jump to read what he had to say on the matter!
