That’s right folks. Twenty-five years ago today, on July 3, 1985, Back to the Future was released in theaters. While director Robert Zemekis has made great films since then (the Back to the Future sequels, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Forrest Gump, etc.), I think most everyone can agree that, out of all his films, this one is by far the most popular and most memorable by movie fans in general.

No, I’m not talking about the lazy cartoon cat (imagine if the fate of New York City lied in his hands?!).
Andrew Garfield (26), who played “Anton” in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, and who has also recently been cast in the upcoming Facebook movie The Social Network, will be playing the legendary Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the new untitled Spider-Man reboot directed by Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer). A third, 60-second trailer for Sylvester Stallone’s high-octane summer action flick, The Expendables has hit the web. All I have to say is, this looks like so much fun (although I have to agree with First Showing when they say that they are totally overselling the Schwarzenegger and Willis cameos). Here on Popcorn Monster, I’ve posted five Predators featurettes for characters from the film. Those featurettes include “Royce,” “Edwin,”, “Isabelle,” “Cuchillo,” and “Noland,” which are the only ones featured on the official site, Predators-Movie.com.
However, Rogue Blog has stumbled upon a sixth featurette on YouTube for the character “Hanzo,” (Louis Ozawa Changchien), which did not end up on Predators-Movie.com. Hit the jump to watch!

I should have seen this coming. In what comes as one of the best news reports I’ve heard in quite a while, Andy Serikis (“Gollum” in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) has been cast as “Caeser,” the lead ape in the Planet of the Apes prequel, Rise of the Apes!

The official trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I has finally been released online. While a short while ago, MTV aired a shorter trailer for the film at the MTV Movie Awards, this is the actual full-length trailer for the film from Warner Brothers. It’s definitely worth a look, since it contains much more footage from the film than the MTV trailer did. Check it out after the jump!

Last week, PCM reported on Gasland, the first film in HBO‘s series of documentaries they are airing Monday nights at 9 PM/8c all summer. Tomorrow, they air their next documentary, Kevorkian – obviously all about the extremely controversial “right-to-die” activist Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
However, this documentary does not just go into what we all already know about his history with assisted suicide, but also dives into his return to public life since his release from prison. I haven’t seen it myself, but it definitely appears to be worth a look – even if you don’t agree with Kevorkian’s perspective. Almost every Saturday night, I get together with friends and family to watch episodes of The X-Files – projected onto a big screen (well, a wall actually). Sometimes, we follow it up with an old-school sci-fi or horror flick, but it seems that, as of late, we’ve been watching a lot of X-Files episodes! So, for your viewing pleasure, I’ve taken a few photos (to the best of my camera’s ability) of what a typical Saturday night looks like for us.

Wow, this is depressing. David Prowse, the man who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, said on his official website that he will not be appearing at the Star Wars Celebration V Convention this year in Orlando, FL because he is no longer allowed to attend any Lucasfilm associated events.
