Recently, I was in Orlando, Florida exploring the Universal Studios theme park, riding the many movie-themed attractions they have there like Jaws, the Men in Black Alien Attack and Revenge of the Mummy. One of them I went on was the E.T. Adventure, where it simulates the flying bike ride from the movie as well as visiting E.T.’s home planet. While it’s a bit dated now, it was still quite a fun little ride.

During my recent visit to Orlando, Florida, I went to the Universal Studios theme park as well as its sister park, Islands of Adventure – which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction.
Word on the street is that this attraction (which is incredible, by the way) will be getting the expansion treatment by 2012 or 2013. But what does that mean for other attractions surrounding it? Hit the jump to find out.

As Back to the Future fans know, part of the second film in the trilogy takes place in the year 2015, and we all wanted the cool futuristic gizmos featured in the movie like hoverboards and flying cars.
Well, the year 2015 is not that far off, and, while we probably won’t have flying cars or hoverboards by then, Nike is currently working on a patent to develop self-lacing sneakers – very similar to what Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future II. Read on for details!

I was just surfing around Star Wars.com, looking at all their coverage of Star Wars Celebration V, and I found this great time-lapsed video of artist Eric Maruscak doing a chalk drawing of characters from season three of Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The drawing was timed in such a way where a new character, “Savage Oppress”(Darth Maul’s brother), was not drawn until he was officially revealed by George Lucas on Saturday, August 17th. You can check out a couple of still shots below, and you can also view the video by clicking here!

Before I knew it, it was already the last day of Star Wars Celebration V. As a fan, you wait and wait until the next Celebration, and when they finally come around they’re already over with. It is always bittersweet, but at the same time the last day of the convention is always the most relaxing – which is a very good thing after being awake for literally 24 hours the day before.
