Jurassic World

And the trailers just keep coming!

What do you get when you cross a Universal Studios theme park with dinosaurs? Jurassic World, that’s what! Today, Universal released a brand new global trailer for the Colin Trevorrow-directed film, which does go into a little more of the plot than what we’ve seen before, but mainly focuses on showing us tons of action involving these beastly, prehistoric predators chasing down the tourists. It is both every theme park owner’s dream, and every theme park owner’s nightmare all rolled into one, and you can now get an even greater glimpse of it than ever before below!

Terminator Genisys

Okay, so Star Wars: Episode VII has broken away from the franchise’s traditional May release time frame, so what else is out there in the meantime that can keep movie geeks at bay until The Force Awakens this December? Oh wait, what did you say? Killer robots from the future? Avenging superheroes? Dinosaurs unleashed in a theme park?! A dude named Max that’s apparently still raving mad?!

YES, my friends, there is plenty to look forward to to hold us over, and you can read all about it in PopcornMonster.com’s top 10 list of movies to see this summer!

batman v superman

Well, Star Wars isn’t the only franchise getting massive hype this week. Zack Snyder’s followup to 2013’s Man of Steel finally has a full trailer out, giving us our first real official look at Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as our first real idea of how the film will play out. Just how do Superman and Batman meet? Why do they fight? How do they come together to help form Justice League (essentially DC’s equivalent to Marvel’s Avengers)?

Sure, comic book fans love Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and know it inside and out, and yes, this film draws from that material. But the trailer seems to show us something much different than the comic I think. But why are you sitting there letting me tell you all of this? Hit the jump to see for yourself!

Star Wars Celebration Anaheim

Well, this is like only the coolest thing ever.

Any hardcore Star Wars fan that has ever had the opportunity to check out a Star Wars Celebration convention knows fully well that it is the single most greatest, most awesome, most incredibly spectacular event one could ever attend to indulge in all things Star Wars for 4 days straight. Anything and everything you can possibly think of is there – from collectable merchandise, Star Wars celebrities (many of whom you can meet, get autographs from and even take pictures with), exclusive footage from upcoming movies or TV series episodes, props from the films themselves, and even the chance to check out the latest and greatest in Star Wars gaming. It’s all there, and the best part is that you get to enjoy it with thousands of other fans like yourself!

But unfortunately, not everyone can be there. Life just gets in the way, for better or for worse. I was personally able to attend Star Wars Celebration III-V, but missed out on VI, and will once again not be able to witness what is surely to be the greatest one ever at Celebration Anaheim. But this time, we won’t have to miss out entirely. For the first time ever, Verizon has teamed up with StarWars.com to live stream “highlights and more than 30 hours of exclusive video content” from the event starting April 16th. Hit the jump for the official press release!

Ant-Man

The second trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man is here! While I can honestly say that this trailer grabs me more than the first, I am still not quite sure I will be able to take this one as seriously as most of Marvel’s past efforts. Somehow, we’re supposed to accept a tiny little guy the size of an insect as a superhero like we accept the likes of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, etc., since Ant-Man eventually becomes a part of the Avengers.

Sure, all of it is fantasy, and none of its real. I get that. But to me, in live-action form, the concept of Ant-Man seems more fitting for a character in Guardians of the Galaxy, where its connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but maybe not meant to be taken as seriously. It’s just way more out there to me than any of the other Avengers, so to fit him in with those other characters will be a challenge for sure when he eventually teams up with them. Nevertheless, I still have faith that Marvel will somehow pull this off. They have long since earned my trust ever since Phase one of the MCU was concluded with The Avengers.

Check out the latest trailer for Ant-Man after the jump!

avengers: age of ultron

And here it is: The final trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Are you pumped?! Well, this trailer sure is, as it is basically a montage of action sequences strung together, showcasing each Avenger and how awesome they are. Nothing wrong with that, but I feel the other trailers that have proceeded this one were more dramatic. Anyhow, watch the trailer now, and prepare yourselves for the movie’s May 1st release!
