Garris_Carpenter_sm

Award-winning filmmaker Mick Garris, host of FEARnet’s signature series Post-Mortem with Mick Garris, has conducted many interviews with horror film legends on the show, including Roger Corman (which we featured here), Robert Englund and Frank Darabont.

More recently, Garris sat down with Halloween creator John Carpenter to discuss his career. While this five-part interview does not debut on FEARnet until Monday, February 28th (and also Verizon FiOS cable channel 197 starting March 4th and On Demand March 7th), FEARnet was kind enough to send us the official press release as well as photos and an exclusive preview clip of the interview. Since the “Blizzard of 2011″ seems to be the hot topic in today’s news, it seemed fitting to post artist Colin McGreal’s great Star Wars-themed photos of a blizzard, apparently from some time last year, depicting various “Hoth” scenes set in real world New York City. Harry Potter_Wizarding World_Cropped

During my recent visit to Orlando, Florida, I went to the Universal Studios theme park as well as its sister park, Islands of Adventure – which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction.

Word on the street is that this attraction (which is incredible, by the way) will be getting the expansion treatment by 2012 or 2013. But what does that mean for other attractions surrounding it? Hit the jump to find out.

We all remember vividly what Heath Ledger looks like as The Joker in The Dark Knight with all the white makeup on. However, we only got a brief glimpse of what he looked like without it. Normally I don’t post articles that I consider to be just rumor, but I thought this was too interesting to pass up.

In the last week or so, photos have been taken of X-Files creator Chris Carter hanging out with David Duchovny in various public places. The first was at a Dodgers game from July 10th, where Duchovny threw the first pitch of the day. The second is of Duchovny and Carter at the beach about a week or so later. Could this mean that they are meeting to discuss the third X-Files film… kind of? Hit the jump for more and to take a peek at the photos!

That’s right folks. Twenty-five years ago today, on July 3, 1985, Back to the Future was released in theaters. While director Robert Zemekis has made great films since then (the Back to the Future sequels, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Forrest Gump, etc.), I think most everyone can agree that, out of all his films, this one is by far the most popular and most memorable by movie fans in general.

Kevorkian_crop

Last week, PCM reported on Gasland, the first film in HBO’s series of documentaries they are airing Monday nights at 9 PM/8c all summer. Tomorrow, they air their next documentary, Kevorkian – obviously all about the extremely controversial “right-to-die” activist Dr. Jack Kevorkian.

However, this documentary does not just go into what we all already know about his history with assisted suicide, but also dives into his return to public life since his release from prison. I haven’t seen it myself, but it definitely appears to be worth a look – even if you don’t agree with Kevorkian’s perspective. Hit the jump to check out the official trailer, press release, photos and more!
