One of the things many grown up geeks ponder more than anything else geeky is, how do we get our kids to like the geeky things we like? This may sound odd to some, but even though I don’t have kids yet, I have often thought about how I will introduce them to things such as old-school monster movies, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, etc., if I should be so fortunate. After all, fathers want something that they can relate to their kids with, right?

I stumbled upon this video from Asylum (via TheForce.net) where they recently shot a video in “Public Service Announcement” style dealing with the issue of introducing one’s kids to all things Star Wars. Obviously this was done for humor’s sake, and is meant to be enjoyed on that level. However, as a geek I totally admit to having similar thoughts to these men in the video (and you know you have too!). Check it out after the jump!

Well, Lucasfilm has let the cat out of the bag on this new take on our favorite galaxy far, far away, setting the records straight on those reports (mostly). Read on!

Recently, I contacted Frank Spotnitz (via Big Light), who was the producer for such cult TV shows as The X-Files and Millennium, to suggest a sort of humorous idea for a scene in The X-Files 3 (if it ever gets made). Check out what it was, as well as his response after the jump!
