Award-winning filmmaker Mick Garris, host of FEARnet‘s signature series Post-Mortem with Mick Garris, has conducted many interviews with horror film legends on the show, including Roger Corman (which we featured here), Robert Englund and Frank Darabont.

More recently, Garris sat down with Halloween creator John Carpenter to discuss his career. While this five-part interview does not debut on FEARnet until Monday, February 28th (and also Verizon FiOS cable channel 197 starting March 4th and On Demand March 7th), FEARnet was kind enough to send us the official press release as well as photos and an exclusive preview clip of the interview. Hit the jump to check them out!

Palladium Boots, well-known for producing “hard wearing” footwear – such as the famous “Pampa Boot” that the French Foreign Legion used back in the day to trek through the rugged terrain of the Atlas Mountains and the North African deserts – states on its website that it is a company dedicated to making quality boots to “help you explore your street, your city, or the world.”

As a part of its marketing campaign, the site contains a documentary section that essentially “explores” various underground movements, historical sites, DIY projects, etc., around famous cities and other sites that you won’t typically find in a normal tourist guide. They travel all over the world, and this time they’ve enlisted the help of Jackass‘s very own Johnny Knoxville to help interview the residents of Detroit, MI to find out if the public perception of the city is true and what people are doing about it in a documentary entitled Detroit Lives.

Believe me when I say that this documentary is not what you’d typically expect from Knoxville, and is actually quite inspiring to say the least – especially to people like me who live in the Detroit area and frequent the city on occasion. I am a little late to the game in posting this, but whatever. If you haven’t watched this yet, put your boots on and hit the jump to go exploring!

Last week, PCM reported on Gasland, the first film in HBO‘s series of documentaries they are airing Monday nights at 9 PM/8c all summer. Tomorrow, they air their next documentary, Kevorkian – obviously all about the extremely controversial “right-to-die” activist Dr. Jack Kevorkian.

However, this documentary does not just go into what we all already know about his history with assisted suicide, but also dives into his return to public life since his release from prison. I haven’t seen it myself, but it definitely appears to be worth a look – even if you don’t agree with Kevorkian’s perspective. Hit the jump to check out the official trailer, press release, photos and more!
