Star Wars Episode VII

All good things come to those who wait…

After months and months of speculation and endless casting rumors, we now finally have an official casting announcement for director J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII. Of course, it comes as no surprise that the original cast is returning (especially after having been spotted in London recently where Episode VII will begin filming). But this announcement also contains a list of other names added to the cast – some of which would be considered “unknowns,” meaning they’re not incredibly famous actors (not uncommon for a Star Wars film), and others that are definitely more well-known, and quite a surprise to say the least! THE-HOBBIT-FAKE-BOFA-TITLE

Last week a rumor hit that the third film in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Trilogy, There and Back Again, might get a new title, following a report that the title The Hobbit: Into the Fire was recently registered by New Line.

As it turns out, Peter Jackson himself revealed to the world through his Facebook page that indeed the title of the third film has changed, but not to Into the Fire. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is now the title of the third film, rather than The Hobbit: There and Back Again. Read what Jackson had to say about the change, as well as some brief details on the Extended Edition of The Desolation of Smaug below!

X-Men_Days_of_Future_Past

The summer blockbuster season seems to have already started with Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier (which was amazing, by the way), but we still have a steady diet of highly-anticipated movies heading our way to feed every geek craving that nags at us all the way through August. Summer is just around the corner, at least when it comes to movies, just waiting for all of us to hang out with mutants, apes, giant monsters… well, just so long as it is behind the safety of the silver screen.
