The Last Voyage of the Demeter is a film that has been in the works for quite some time with Millennium Films. The Demeter is the name of the ship that stowed Count Dracula and his cargo during a trip from Transylvania to London in the classic novel by Bram Stoker. In the story, strange occurrences ensue on board the ship that involve the slaying of every crew member on board, save for one raving lunatic who craves the blood of insects, and of course the infamous Count himself. Read on to find out more about director Neil Marshall’s involvement with the project, and the production hiccups that have occurred along the way.

It doesn’t take a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist to know that Marvel made a huge gamble in creating four different superhero film franchises that would eventually cross over into one film. It was one of the biggest gambles in film history, and nothing quite like it has ever been done before. Thankfully, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk were all reasonably successful at the box office, with both Iron Man films generating the most profit out of the four franchises.
Marvel had won over audiences for the most part with these films, which, in turn, has generated a huge amount of buzz for The Avengers. Moviegoers have been highly anticipating this film since the debut of Iron Man in 2008, not to mention the millions of comic book fans who have been waiting for this for decades. Expectations are beyond sky-high, stretching along the branches of the world tree all the way out to the other eight realms (see Thor). So, it is quite a relief to be able to say that those expectations have been met, for this particular reviewer anyway, as The Avengers succeeds on every level, delivering a film with jaw-dropping action, an ensemble cast that works, and a story worthy of Marvel’s legacy.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been quite the game changer in its last two seasons, delivering the goods with compelling new villains and darker storylines. More specifically, the show has proven itself to be worthy of the Star Wars legacy by showing us that fans did not know everything there is to know about the Force (Mortis trilogy, anyone?), or even various characters from the actual film franchise, particularly when it comes to Darth Maul.
Based on the latest teaser for Season five, it looks like the show will continue raising the bar and take Star Wars to a whole new level. This particular trailer shows that the fifth season will indeed follow up on storylines introduced in past seasons, such as the return of Maul as well as the Mandalorian splinter group Death Watch. The third trailer for director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man has just debuted online over at Apple, which will be playing in theaters in front of The Avengers this weekend (along with the most recent trailer for The Dark Knight Rises).
This trailer focuses primarily on the mystery surrounding Peter Parker’s parents, but also showcases plenty of action and more of the Lizard this time around. While it definitely seems like it may be too soon for a reboot, I think most people will accept a new Spider-Man franchise if this movie is as good as it looks. Check out the latest “amazing” trailer for the film after the jump!

It’s here. This particular trailer features more of Stallone, Willis, Schwarzenegger (he’s back!), Van Damme, and Statham, but pretty much every major action star can be seen at some point. Hit the jump to watch various objects and people get blown up, knifed, and shot at…
