An incredible video has been floating around online today of a crowd-sourced project called Star Wars Uncut. In a nutshell, the project was started in 2009 by Vimeo developer Casey Pugh in which internet users from around the world could select a 15-second clip of their choice from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and remake it in their own creative way. The end result of the project is a “Director’s Cut” of sorts in which clips are hand-selected from the entire Star Wars Uncut collection and stitched together to form a full-length feature film – essentially remaking the original Star Wars as a fan film.
If you have a little over two hours to kill, and are fanatical enough about the original Star Wars that you pretty much know it frame by frame and line by line – you have to check out this great, collective work created by fans just like you from around the globe. Hit the jump to watch!

While the Resident Evil franchise has never been truly “great,” there was a time when the films held a certain guilty pleasure appeal to them in terms of balls-to-the-walls action, cool zombie kills, and stories that were enjoyable on a “popcorn movie” level. But that all went away with Resident Evil: Afterlife in 2010. The movie just fell more flat to me than the other ones, despite it’s zombie action. It was simply a disappointing followup to the story that was set up in Resident Evil: Extinction, where we were left with a possible hope of surviving the zombie world in Alaska, and a group of Alice clones ready to conquer said zombies and the Umbrella corporation. Needless to say, I lost interest in the franchise.
However, after seeing the trailer for director Paul W.S. Anderson’s fifth and latest movie in the series, Resident Evil: Retribution, it appears that there just might be hope for the franchise after all. Michelle Rodriguez and Sienna Guillory are both returning as Rain Ocampo and Jill Valentine, respectively, and the trailer really does a great job at making the movie look like it will be a welcome return to what made the series fun to watch in the first place. Yes, this is just a trailer, and the end result could still be disastrous. But then again, it is possible that Anderson got a clue this time around. Either way, the trailer is worth a look. AMC was quick to renew their hit TV series, The Walking Dead for a third season after the Season 2 premiere broke cable ratings records last October. In the first half of the second season last year, the show continued to maintain the strongest telecasts for any drama in basic cable history against Adults 18-49, and will probably continue to do so when the season picks back up on Sunday, February 12th.
Even so, most viewers probably assumed that next season would get an order for 13 episodes just like Season 2 did, as 12-13 episodes is the typical amount for a normal cable TV series. But that is not the case for Season 3 of The Walking Dead, as AMC announced yesterday via their official blog that they have ordered 16 episodes for next season!
Hit the jump to get a sneak peek of the next episode of Season 2, and head on over to AMC to read the full announcement!

Ever since it was first announced way back in 2005 at the Star Wars Celebration III Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Star Wars Live-Action series has become the most anticipated project from Lucasfilm that almost seems like it will never see the light of day.
We know that 50 scripts have been written for the show, that it takes place between Episodes III and IV of the film series, and that it will deal with minor characters from the films and/or characters we’ve never seen before. It has also been mentioned in the past that Boba Fett, the infamous bounty hunter who captured Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back, will be a part of it. However, the show is currently delayed because George Lucas and producer Rick McCallum are waiting until it becomes affordable to produce TV episodes that hold their own against the epic visual scale of the feature films.
It has been a while since we last had an update, but this week McCallum has been commenting on the status of the series while promoting his upcoming film, Red Tails, with both IGN and Entertainment Weekly, discussing the working title of the series, the difficultly of producing it, and even some vague plot details. Read on to watch IGN‘s incredibly interesting interview, and for snippets from the EW article!

Ever since the prologue for The Dark Knight Rises premiered with select IMAX screenings of Misson: Impossible – Ghost Protocol last month, the voice of Bane (one of the main villains in the film) has become a huge controversial subject around the world, as many complained that his dialogue was incredibly difficult to understand because of the mask he wears in the film. The same happened with the second trailer for the film (although fans were not as vocal about it because there is really only one line of Bane dialogue in the trailer to analyze). As of right now, sources claim director Christopher Nolan is happy with Bane’s dialogue the way it is and only plans to alter the sound slightly.
To poke fun at all the controversy, Conan O’Brien decided to create a spoof of the trailer on his TBS show, Conan, making fun of Bane’s dialogue. The spoof aired last night, and while not nearly as hilarious as some of his comic material, it just might get a chuckle or two out of you. Hit the jump to watch!
