Star Wars has been all over the news lately ever since Star Tours: The Adventures Continue debuted in Orlando, Florida this past weekend. Recently, Kevin Pereira from G4’s Attack of the Show interviewed Disney Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald and film director George Lucas about what we can expect from the newly-updated ride (it hasn’t been updated since its debut in 1987) and, from what it sounds like, this is the Star Wars experience fans do not want to miss out on!

On the more interesting side of things, not only did they discuss the new ride, but Lucas also went into detail about why his 3D releases of the Star Wars films (starting next February with The Phantom Menace) will be much better than other recent releases of post-converted 3D movies, and also discussed the hang-up with the Star Wars live-action TV series and just how far along they actually are with it (the answer may surprise you!). Star Tours: The Adventures Continue:

Star Wars Films in 3D and the Live-Action TV Series:

Really? Fifty hours of the live-action TV series already written/conceptualized? While we knew they had scripts written, we had no idea how much was done already. The question is, when will they get to the point where they can actually shoot these scripts for a fraction of the cost? I wouldn’t expect it any time soon, but at least we know they are still working on it and have quite a bit done already!
