I had caught the documentary on HBO Monday Morning … It broke my heart to see Little Cassidy with no Hope or happiness… I am praying this last post is true.
I have cried 2 days in a row and plan on donating to the Hope School in Orange County.
Everytime I go to mention something about Cassidy to my husband I lose it.
Hope for all the families and Prayers!!

I watched an interview with the director, she said that she had set up college funds for the kids and that many of them had or are recieving donations from lots of people who want to help. She said that it had been more than a year and that too her knowledge while they had gotten some help from the movie the only one she could realy say for sure was no longer living in a motel was Cassidy. Someone from Canada I believe has become a benefactor to the family and that the mom had married – you hope that this means many good things for poor Cassidy – how sad this could not have happened to them all ( that is assuming that she is happy and doing well). The thing I try to remmember is that these kids are just examples of many kids around the country maybe the real hope in the movie is to help not only these kids but the ones in your are as well.

And lastly I doubt that their parents will let a stranger take them out for a day Darcy. Then again, you might be able to if you can find them. There probably long gone from the motel. My favorite was the kid that climbed in the dumpster to get treasures lol

Hi… I just finished watching this documentary on HBO on demand and googled Hope School in Orange County. I see on this site that a few people wanted to know how to help. The schools website lists many ways. From providing rewards to children, to donating school supplies and such. I am in NC and don’t have a whole lot to donate, but I think even a little something will help. Here is the link for the school so you can also help. http://projecthopeschool.org/
I read a interview someone conducted with the filmmaker, and she expressed that she does not know how to help these kids, that she is not a expert in homelessness and not a politician and yes she is right, but it would have been nice for her to add a link to help, as I am now, took me no time at all to find it. It breaks my heart to see these kids…

That little Cassidy…I can’t get her sweet little earnest face out of my mind. She was so sincere and so sad. I would love an update on her. She deserves so much more, as do all the children.

Just watched this and cannot believe what I saw…I am saddened by these situations. I don’t know why but Cassidy affected me the most. All of these kids deserve a stable, safe, fun environment to grow up in…Not watching gang members, violence, etc. Like others who have posted here, what can we do to help? How could we help the the Project Hope School?
