I'm sure there are dedicated fans who loved the series and regard it in a category by itself, however since the finale "Goodbye to all That" much has happened in the media which indicates to me that there is simply not enough interest with an overtly daft public to successfully return Frank Black to any size screen. One look at cinema (let alone Television) exposes a wasteland of "entertainment", what with the rise of "reality" shows to CGI crap. These mediums have been reduced to the lowest common denominator. Millennium, as far as my take on it, was for the critical thinker. You HAD to pay attention. Take my favorite, "Skull and Bones" and witness the information given, is the title describing what's under the proposed highway? Or something else that drives "Ed" (the writer) to seek safety? Oh, I agree with many that this could have continued and I don't swallow the low ratings excuse of "Oh well that's it!" given by the staff. There were plenty of story lines to continue, everything from Lucy Butler to continuing the questions left unanswered in "The Mikado" to other esoteric mischief from Millennium Group. But I believe something "Forced" it out due to content, and well goodbye to all that.

Millennium can go much further than the series had a chance to explore. The Millenium Group had their purpose, but things kept following Frank Black. His "gift" to see and feel the killer's mind and emotions goes far beyond the group.
This was a show all about Black, not the millenium. Jorden is the light and dark of Frank's soul. I see Frank like the dark hero, who will walk the fine line between good and evil to protect his only purpose to live, his daughter. This a great opportunity for a writer(s) to explore the supernatural and phenominal bond we have for our children. In my opinion, it also offers a chance for renewing purpose for the X Files.
What I liked about both shows, is that they felt real. No matter how far out the plot was, it felt like it could happen. In teh X Files, we need the beleiver and the doubter to balance the story. With Frank, somehow he is both...
