The Young Victoria, starring Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, The Wolfman), has had quite a bit of buzz surrounding it lately. It had a limited release a couple of weeks ago, and expanded to 150 more theaters across the US last Friday. Blunt has already received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress for her role as the young queen. Sounds like this film is shaping up to be the one to see as far as period pieces go.

A new viral “mash up” video made by Rebel Christmas Card called “Jack Bauer Interrogates Santa Claus” has hit the web. Claus is accused of being an international terrorist and is interrogated by Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland)- the main character of the hit TV series 24. As a fan of the show, this video made my day. Last Week, Sigourney Weaver commented on Ghostbusters 3 to Channel 4 News (UK), and it has stirred quite a lot of speculation on the web, particularly her comments on Bill Murray’s role in the film. There has been some confusion over the web in the last week as to when The Hobbit films are supposed to arrive in theaters. TheOneRing.net reported earlier this past week that filming for the first Hobbit film would be delayed from March  to midsummer next year, which then spurred rumors that the theatrical release of first film would be delayed until 2012. With the scripts rumored to be delayed as well, the speculation escalated even more.
