Roger Corman, director of old school horror flicks such as House of Usher and Pit and the Pendulum, was approached by Netflix to produce a horror mini-series for the web in which the audience gets to actually choose how the series progresses. This is the first time when the news of Hammer Films making a comeback seems real to me. Fans of Hammer Film Studios and the films they made (particularly those made back in the ’50s and ’60s) have been paying close attention to the slow but steady reemergence of the studio, anxiously awaiting a new film. Now, Shock ‘Till You Drop has given us a sneak peek at the first new thriller from Hammer in over 30 years, entitled The Resident.

“Team Detroit,” an ad agency out of Detroit, Michigan, had their annual Halloween party where each department participates in a decorating contest. Aside from many traditional decorations like ghouls and goblins, a few departments were decorated with movie-themes that seemed appropriate to feature here.

Bloody-Disgusting broke the news a few days ago that a sequel to the 2007 vampire movie 30 Days of Night was in the works, set to be directed by first time film director Ben Ketai and released by Columbia Pictures and Ghost House Pictures. However, the film will be straight to DVD (Sigh). Today, an official announcement and plot synopsis of 30 Days of Night: Dark Days was released. Check it out below.

Robert Zemeckis, director of Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, The Polar Express, etc., is bringing us a new CG-animated version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in 3-D November 6th.
