And yes, that wasn't the only X-Files nod in the show. There was a meeting about the future of the Fringe division, and a comment was made about it: “X-Designation.” The gray-haired actor (Ken Camroux) who played the senator named “Kenneth Taylor” in this episode originally played a character on X-Files – one of the guys from the pilot episode who assigned Scully to the X-Files to spy on Mulder. I forgot that I had guessed that! And yes, that wasn’t the only X-Files nod in the show.
