The rebuilding of Hobbiton for the two new Hobbit films has begun! Currently, they are re-planting hedgerows and fruit trees, as well as digging new hobbit holes and extending the pathway in front of Bilbo’s “Bag End” home. Check out the pics after the jump!

As I was leaving the theater, I thought to myself, “Man, that was depressing.” But I was not thinking the movie was bad. On the contrary, I was contemplating just how dark Harry Potter’s story has to get before things go well for him. He has never had a good life since we began this journey with him in 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and this film only proves that point all the more.
“And I thought they smelled bad – on the outside. Anhh!” ThinkGeek.com’s April Fools joke last April of a sleeping bag that looks like a Tauntaun from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is no laughing matter anymore! Because plenty of Star Wars fans are willing to cough up the money for these things, they are currently developing it to sell on ThinkGeek.com!

It’s official! Marvel has announced that Natalie Portman has been cast in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor! She will be playing the character of Jane Foster, who is a nurse who becomes Thor’s first love in the popular comic book series.

After The X-Files: I Want to Believe performed poorly at the box office domestically (much of that has to do with the poor timing of its release – one week after The Dark Knight), fans have been left to wonder whether or not the franchise has any hope for even one more future film. It had been previously reported that there were four contenders for the role of the Green Lantern in the new film of the same title set to be releasd in 2011 – Bradley Cooper, Jared Leto, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake (yes, Justin Timberlake from ‘NSYNC). Well, it has been confirmed that Ryan Reynolds has been chosen to play the green-suited superhero!
