Different spheres of life utilize a lot of time, thence why must we expend life time for analytical essay writing? This is greater to utilize some experienced essay writing service to order the sample essay from, I guess.

Oh, those good old times! I became a fan when the special editions came out in 1997. I couldn't wait to see a new Star Wars movie.
Gosh, I recorded the trailer on VHS when it was aired on TV, and watched it about a billion times. I couldn't believe the scope and beauty of it all!
The expectations were just too high. Anyway, I saw TPM at the midnight screening, and I was blown away by it, but it was impossible to take it all in. The next day, I saw it another 3-4 times, and all together I went to see it 15 times in the theater, and countless times since then!
It will always be the most special cinematic experience for me!

I fully trusted Lucas, so I wasn't worried, and I ignored all the criticism, and the hatred towards the prequels. It is a real pity that the expectations were simply unrealistic, because they have no clue what they are missing!
I just watched it again, but I can't wait to see them on Blu-ray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take it for what it is: A movie of such monumental scope and beauty and wonder that it still stands grand after 10 years.
I love you Episode I!

When I saw Episode II in the cinema for the first time, I couldn't stand up afterwards. I was convinced that I had just witnessed the most awesome movie ever, until Episode III was released, and brought it all back full circle! It's so enormously breathtaking, powerful and emotional, that there are no words to describe it.

All I hope for now, is that G. Lucas is going to update Episodes 4-6 and 1 to match Ep.2-3 perfectly, and then release them on Blu-ray to experience them on HD, which will be a day long.....remembered.

Thank you George, John Knoll, Rob Coleman and everyone else who worked on those absolutely unique movies!

I recall all of these things with *such* clarity, though I had a different perspective: I worked at a movie theater. The movie I saw the trailer on was 'Enemy of the State,' at an employee showing - and the news crews were there, since we were the first in the Lansing area to see it. During the midnight showing, one of our concessionists pulled off the best Wookiee howl I've ever heard - and each time he did, the crowd would cheer and applaud. We employees didn't get to see the movie until after that showing - almost three in the morning. At six I got home, just as everyone else in my family was waking up, and gave them my positive - if not exactly enthusiastic - review. Since then, I've warmed to the movie greatly.

And after ten years, not even Jar-Jar seems so bad.

To *me,* at least.

Star Wars Fans,
The buildup to EP I was something that can never be equalled. I know many fans who hated the movie, but the time before it came out was like an extended pre-christmas celebration for me. I have never been that excited, and I was 27 years old then. "Mudstock" was wonderful, but horrible to get to (I live an hour away from Denver), but it was all about the experience. I tear up when I think about the innocence of those days. Those of you who remember that time, pass it on...

Its one of those moments in life you look back and smile. Remembering I was part of that. I only wish I could be like that again. My daughter was 6 months old when TPM came out.

Great retrospective. I have similar memories too. I really can't believe it was 10 years ago!!!. I remember the smell of the local Toys 'R' Us, entering the store and seeing a a lot of toys, books and real madness!!!. I remember buying a Jar Jar Binks beach towel, a cup (in Taco Bell), lots of action figures, books....wow!. It is the only movie in which I have to wait hours in a line EVER!!! Now I'm 34 years old. The only original trilogy movie I saw at teaters was Return of the Jedi, and the only though of seeing the Star Wars logo in the big screen again was incredible exciting! Thank you for this memories!!!

"For me it doesn’t seem like it could have been 10 years ago, but it is, and that makes me wonder where the time went and worry that I haven’t done enough with my life in that time."

Dude, I hear you.

And maybe I'll make some "notable mentions" on this list (since I want to keep it a top 10 because of the 10th anniversary). Star Wars Insider was not a big part of my anticipation for TPM, but I'm sure with the prequel updates it was big for a lot of others. I did subscribe after the film however and have been a subscriber ever since.

I also should probably mention the teaser poster with Anakin and his Vader shadow.

I've been surfing the Net looking at "Phantom Menace" retrospectives, and this is the best I've read yet. Great job! If I had any criticism it would be that there's no mention of Star Wars Insider Magazine, which is my biggest memory of anticipating "The Phantom Menace."

This movie's release was a milestone in my life, and I think everybody here feels the same way. For me it doesn't seem like it could have been 10 years ago, but it is, and that makes me wonder where the time went and worry that I haven't done enough with my life in that time.

Anyway, I know what you mean about fans feeding on the tidbits of info and constructing a whole movie in their heads before the real one was released, because I was one of them. But when I saw "The Phantom Menace" it blew that all away. It was just so much better than what I'd imagined. And the same goes for the other prequels.

Great article!
The best memory for me was waiting in line two months before the movie to get tickets!
In Australia they presold so me and 3 mates camped out over night in the cinema carpark!
There was about twenty of us arguing facts and playing Star Wars Trivial Pursuit! We got interviewed on the radio and even got to request a song but they didn't have 'Ice Ice Baby'!
The next day no one else turned up to get them but we had a blast! This is something that can never be repeated for me!
Though the two month wait with a ticket kinda sucked!
