Neill Blomkamp’s District 9 film, arriving in theaters August 14th, was originally a short film titled Alive in Joburg. Google has made this film available for your viewing pleasure! Check it out after the jump.
I thought this short film was extremely well done. It looks like if V: The Miniseries was filmed documentary style, particularly with the look of the alien ships hovering over the city. Very, very cool. I cannot wait for the full-length District 9!
Also, the uncensored teaser for District 9 emerged a few days ago, with the alien revealed and subtitles that translate what he/she/it is saying during the interrogation! Check it out below!

It’ll be interesting to see if District 9 can sustain a whole movie in the style of documentary that Alive in Joburg used !!
